About Us

Our Mission:

We are committed to strengthening communities and developing productive leaders for the future by empowering, educating and engaging students and families.

Our History:

Carlos Anthony Arrington was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on April 25, 1970. Carlos was a graduate of North Nash Senior High School, Rocky Mount, North Carolina and of North Carolina Central University, Durham North Carolina. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Carlos joined the Alpha Kappa Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in the spring of 2000. He loved sports; he played golf, basketball, softball, football, and tennis. However, what was most impressive about Carlos was his support for youth programs and the Durham community. In 2008, the Prodigal Son Foundation was established in remembrance of Carlos by his family members, fraternity brothers, and members of the community for the purpose of motivating, inspiring, and rewarding young people.
